"...From its roots at the heart of traditional, diversity rich farming systems across the world, to being transformed into a powerful commodity, used to monopolise the global food system. The film highlights the extent to which the industrial agricultural system, and genetically modified (GM) seeds in particular, has impacted on the enormous agro -biodiversity evolved by farmers and communities around the world, since the beginning of agriculture."
- Shop Local: Support local by shopping at farmers markets or visiting farms for produce and meat
- Know GMO vs. Non-GMO: Genetically modified organisms (GMO) have unknown effects on the human body. There is currently a petition for a New York state bill that will require food manufacturers to label their foods as containing GMO's or not. Don't you want to know what is going into your body? - Plant Organic!: I live next door to the most organic family in town, and it is AWESOME. Fresh salads every day with peppers, beans, eggplants...even corn! There is a small plot in my yard where we grow tomatoes and salad that's a quick go-to for most meals. Delicious AND convenient!
